Accessibility Statement

Fronterio's commitment to digital accessibility under the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive 2019/882). What we comply with, what we're still improving, and how to report issues.

Last updated: 2026-05-20

1. Our commitment

Fronterio is committed to making its platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive (EU) 2019/882) which has been in force since 28 June 2025. We believe accessible software is better software, and we treat WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the minimum bar for everything we ship.

2. Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the Fronterio web platform served from https://fronterio.com and its locale subpaths (/en, /da, /sv, /no, /fi, /de, /nl, /fr), including the landing pages, signup flow, customer dashboard, partner admin dashboard, and all public marketing pages. It does not yet cover (a) PDF documents generated by the platform (e.g. board-ready status reports, FRIA exports) where remediation is in progress, (b) embedded third-party content such as Stripe Checkout iframes, and (c) the public blog where pre-2026 articles may not meet the same standard as new content.

3. Compliance status

Fronterio is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The platform is built on accessible primitives (shadcn/ui + Tailwind, with semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, dark-mode/contrast support, and ARIA labels on dynamic widgets), and every new feature ships with an accessibility checklist baked into our internal review process. However, a comprehensive third-party audit has not yet been performed; we expect to commission one in Q3 2026 and publish a full conformance report when complete. Until then, this statement reflects our self-assessment in good faith.

4. Known issues

We are aware of the following accessibility gaps and are actively working to resolve them:

  • Some recharts-based data visualisations (compliance posture, adoption metrics) do not yet expose underlying data via a screen-reader-accessible table fallback.
  • PDF exports (board status report, FRIA, policy pack) are generated via @react-pdf/renderer and may not preserve full heading structure or alt text for embedded charts.
  • The interactive AI Consultant drawer is keyboard-accessible but does not yet announce streaming token updates to assistive technologies during long responses.
  • A small number of older blog posts (pre-April 2026) may have images without alt text and headings out of order.

5. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 20 May 2026 based on a self-assessment of the platform conducted by the Fronterio engineering team. It was reviewed against the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and the EAA Annex I functional requirements. We will update it at least annually, or whenever a material change to the platform affects its accessibility posture.

6. Feedback and contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our platform — or if you need information in an alternative format — please contact us. We aim to respond to all accessibility requests within five working days and to remediate confirmed issues as part of our normal sprint cadence.

  • Email: accessibility@fronterio.com
  • Post: Fronterio ApS, 2840 Holte, Denmark

When reporting an issue, please include: the page URL, the browser and assistive technology you used, and a short description of what went wrong. Screenshots or screen recordings are welcome but never required.

7. Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the national accessibility monitoring body in your country. EAA enforcement is delegated to each EU Member State; the relevant authorities for Fronterio's primary markets are:

  • Denmark — Digitaliseringsstyrelsen (digst.dk)
  • Sweden — Myndigheten för digital förvaltning (digg.se)
  • Norway — Digitaliseringsdirektoratet (uutilsynet.no)
  • Finland — Etelä-Suomen aluehallintovirasto (saavutettavuusvaatimukset.fi)
  • Germany — Bundesfachstelle Barrierefreiheit (bundesfachstelle-barrierefreiheit.de)
  • Netherlands — Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken (digitoegankelijk.nl)
  • France — DINUM / Arcom (numerique.gouv.fr)

8. Technical specifications

The platform is implemented in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (TypeScript), using semantic HTML and ARIA where supplementary semantics are required. It is tested against the latest two stable versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, including with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android). The accessibility tree is regenerated on every deploy.
