GovernSharePoint Integration

Your AI governance, mirrored in your SharePoint intranet

Most enterprises run their internal communications on SharePoint. The Fronterio Intranet Integration auto-creates 7 SharePoint lists and document libraries on first sync, then keeps them in lockstep with your dashboard. Use cases, agents, governance records, FRIA documents, audit logs, training materials — all visible inside your existing SharePoint intranet, no extra login.

Why mirror Fronterio in SharePoint

SharePoint is where most enterprises already publish org-wide policy, training, and compliance content. People know how to find things there. The Fronterio Intranet Integration meets your team where they already are — instead of asking them to log into yet another platform, the same governance records that drive your compliance dashboard surface as native SharePoint lists and document libraries inside your intranet.

On first sync the integration provisions 7 SharePoint surfaces in a chosen site: AI Use Cases (list), AI Agents (list), Governance Decisions (list), FRIA Documents (library), Compliance Policies (library), AI Training Materials (library), and AI Incidents (list). Each is created with the right column schema, the right view filters, and the right metadata — no manual SharePoint engineering.

Sync is event-driven. When a use case is created in Fronterio, it appears in the SharePoint AI Use Cases list within seconds. When a policy is published, the PDF lands in the Compliance Policies library. When an incident is logged, the SharePoint list updates with the auto-computed Article 73 deadline. The platform pushes — no manual export or scheduled batch.

Approvals can flow bidirectionally. Department heads who only check SharePoint can approve a high-risk agent directly from the SharePoint list (status field changes from Proposed → Approved, the SharePoint webhook fires, Fronterio picks it up and updates the agent record). The audit log captures the SharePoint approval event with the user's Microsoft identity.

The integration uses a multi-tenant Entra ID app with Sites.ReadWrite.All + Files.ReadWrite.All scopes. App-only auth (no per-user OAuth), so the sync runs reliably regardless of which user happens to be online. Lists and libraries created with metadata that flags 'managed by Fronterio' — accidental manual edits are detected and reconciled on next sync.

Setup is admin-only and dashboard-driven. The runbook in docs/ops/fronterio-everywhere-activation.md § 4 walks through Entra ID app registration (multi-tenant), admin consent for the SharePoint scopes, choosing the target SharePoint site URL, and triggering the first full sync. After that the platform takes over.

Same data. Two surfaces. Always in sync.

Without integration vs Fronterio Intranet Integration

Without integration

  • AI policies live in Fronterio — most employees never read them
  • Department heads avoid Fronterio approvals because SharePoint is what they check
  • Manual export of compliance records when audit reviewers need SharePoint
  • Two sources of truth — Fronterio and SharePoint drift apart over time

With Fronterio Intranet Integration

  • AI policies + use cases + agents land in SharePoint within seconds
  • Approvals work both ways — SharePoint status change updates Fronterio
  • Compliance records always live in both — auditors get whichever they prefer
  • Single source of truth — Fronterio pushes, SharePoint mirrors, sync log surfaces drift

SharePoint sync capabilities

Auto-Provisioned Lists & Libraries

First sync creates the 7 SharePoint surfaces with the right schema, views, and column types. No manual setup beyond the runbook.

Event-Driven Push

When a use case, agent, policy, or incident changes in Fronterio, the SharePoint surface updates within seconds via Graph API.

Bidirectional Approvals

Department heads approve directly from SharePoint. Status field change triggers webhook back into Fronterio with the user's Microsoft identity.

Multi-Tenant Entra ID App

App-only auth (Sites.ReadWrite.All + Files.ReadWrite.All). No per-user OAuth dance. Runs reliably with no human in the loop.

Compliance Policy Library

Every published Transparency Notice / FRIA / Risk Management policy auto-lands in the SharePoint Compliance Policies library as a PDF.

AI Training Materials

Article 4 AI literacy materials surface in a dedicated SharePoint library — your L&D team can browse and embed them in onboarding flows.

Drift Detection

Manual SharePoint edits to managed-by-Fronterio rows surface in the sync log. Reconcile on next push or accept the SharePoint version.

Audit Trail Preservation

Every sync event — SharePoint approval, drift detected, list provisioned — flows into Fronterio's immutable audit log with attribution.

How to wire it up

1

Register the Entra ID app

Microsoft 365 admin creates the multi-tenant Entra ID app with Sites.ReadWrite.All + Files.ReadWrite.All scopes.

2

Grant admin consent

In your tenant Azure portal, an admin consents to the app's permissions for SharePoint Online sites + files.

3

Connect the site

In Fronterio Settings → Integrations → SharePoint, paste the SharePoint site URL. Test connection verifies the app can reach the target site.

4

Trigger first sync

First sync provisions the 7 lists and libraries, populates them with current Fronterio data. Takes 1-3 minutes depending on org size.

5

Watch the sync log

Settings → Integrations → SharePoint surfaces every sync event. Drift, approvals, errors — all visible alongside Fronterio's own audit log.

SharePoint is where the work already happens. Fronterio meets it there — instead of asking your team to switch contexts again.
